Common Questions
Estimates & Pricing
No — estimates are always free. There's no obligation to move forward and no pressure. We'll give you a clear quote and let you decide.
Text us a photo. Seriously — send a photo of the area along with a rough idea of what you want and we can usually get you a ballpark number within the hour. Text (801) 358-6363 anytime.
The main factors are square footage, thickness, finish type (standard broom vs. stamped or decorative), site access and prep work, and any reinforcement needed. We'll walk you through all of it when we give you a quote so nothing surprises you.
Not without telling you first. If something comes up on-site that changes the scope — unexpected base conditions, access issues, etc. — we'll communicate it before proceeding. No surprise invoices at the end.
Scheduling & Process
We typically have availability within the same week for most projects. Larger jobs or peak season (spring and summer) may require a bit more lead time. Reach out and we'll give you our current availability right away.
It's straightforward: you reach out, we give you a free estimate (often same day via photo), we schedule a date, our crew handles all the base prep, forming, pouring, and finishing, and we clean up when we're done. Most residential jobs are completed in one day.
We'll reschedule at no charge. Concrete and rain don't mix — we'd rather push the job a day or two than compromise the quality of your pour. We'll contact you as early as possible if we need to move your date.
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the work area and you've approved the scope beforehand, we can complete the job without you there. We'll send photos when it's done and let you know when it's safe to use.
Concrete & Care
We recommend waiting at least 7 days before driving on new concrete and 28 days before parking heavy vehicles like RVs or trucks for extended periods. We'll give you specific instructions when the job is complete.
Some hairline cracking is normal as concrete cures and experiences temperature changes. Larger cracks are usually caused by poor base prep, improper thickness, tree roots, or soil movement. If you're concerned about cracks, send us a photo and we'll give you an honest assessment.
We strongly recommend avoiding salt and chemical de-icers, especially in the first winter. They accelerate surface spalling and scaling. Use sand for traction instead. If you need to melt ice, calcium magnesium acetate (CMA) is the least damaging option.
Sealing is a great idea, especially for driveways and patios in Utah's climate. We recommend waiting 30 days after the pour, then applying a quality penetrating sealer every 2-3 years. It protects against moisture, stains, and freeze-thaw damage.
Properly installed and maintained concrete can last 30-50 years or more. The key factors are good base prep, proper thickness and mix, control joints, and basic care (no salt, occasional sealing). Cutting corners on any of these shortens the life significantly — which is why we don't.
